Completed building it in my own in just over hour and half. Simple instructions to follow. Bit difficult to set up bluetooth and fabric base is the only downside. Value for money and not bad quality. Lifts easy with mattress ontop.

Firstly I must mention that there is a rather long delivery timescale for this bed, the seller did everything they could to expedite delivery and I can't fault them at all but it did take about 2 weeks, perhaps I've been spoilt by these instant/next day deliveries now a days 😅. The delivery came in two seperate shipments from two different couriers which was unusual, however both boxes arrived within a couple of days of each other despite the shipping website saying they would arrive two weeks apart! Overall a slightly complicated and unusual delivery process, we also had to pay extra for delivery which was again unusual. This bed took absolutely AGES to put together properly. It is an absolute must to have two people in order to construct this bed, especially the headboard!! Though the rest of the bed is fairly easy to assemble and most points to insert screws are reasonably clearly marked. I am a professional handyman, I purchased this bed for myself and it took me almost a full day (8-10 hours) to put together properly. I wasn't in any particular rush and took my time to get it 100% perfect eith plenty of tea and cigarette breaks! But I must say that the headboard in particular was incredibly hard to put together by myself! The positions for the fixings that hold the gas struts were not marked which resulted in several attempts to attach these in different places only to then find that the hidden storage "door" in the headboard would not close properly or fully. This resulted in me spending HOURS trialing and erroring (MANY TIMES) and getting very frustrated! This would have been much easier with a second person to hold the hidden storage "door", I had the headboard up against a wall but when trying to put on the gas struts it kept suddenly springing open! I also really struggled to line up the hinges for the hidden storage door so that there was no obvious gap in the headboard but the door of the hidden storage did not rub on or catch the rest of the headboard, again a trial and error NIGHTMARE. I must also say that the instructions were not very well printed so hard to read/see the pictures. In addition to this there are two push catches which hold the hidden storage door closed, these did not line up at all height wise which meant the head board would randomly spring open! The female catch was mounted well above the male holding piece so I had to use several black plastic spacers to bring the female catch down so it met up with the male piece properly. I had to to this for both clips and I am still not 100% comfortable that the hidden storage door will stay closed if the bed is knocked so I will be adding one or two more push catches for my own peace of mind. The rest of the bed construction was fairly straightforward and exactly like the 1000 other beds I've built in my career as a handyman. There was one spring clip missing from the "ottoman" gas lift part of the bed. The frame which holds the mattress was missing a spring clip from one corner, luckily I had spare nuts and bolts so found one that was the same diameter as the predrilled hole and used a nut to Tighten the bolt in place,I must admit I didn't complain about this as I did manage to fix it and my repair is probably stronger than the spring clip anyway! 😅😅😅 lucky I'm a handyman and had the spare nuts and bolts for anyone else this could be a real problem as the bed won't hold together without this clip or something similar. Other than the nightmare I had building the hidden storage in the headboard in would say this is a nice bed, it's rather low to the ground so I plan to raise it slightly by building a wooden frame for it. Other than that it's very comfortable and seems to be made of good quality durable materials as it didn't get damaged when building the headboard and it kept springing open. Oh and also I used some of my own screws as the screws, particularly the screws heads provided for attaching the hidden storage door hinges were total rubbish, I ended up throwing them away and using my own. The supplied screws were too small and made of a poor metal so I kept wearing the heads off the screws, after I'd damaged the first 10 they all went in the bin!! 😅😅😅 Overall I'd say the quality of the bed is just about worth the money, in all honesty it's a bit expensive for what it is. It terms of build quality again it's passable maybe a C+, in terms of ease of construction that's a solid D or E from me, if I had known how hard and bloody frustrating it was going to be to put together I would not have purchased this bed! But I've got it now it's built and it's sturdier than it would have otherwise been as I've used my own hardware to build it, plus it is fairly comfortable so I guess I'm stuck with it for now! 😅
